National Anthem honour for Oman
Oman’s Royal Cavalry band played the British National Anthem for HRH Queen Elizabeth II at the annual Windsor Horse Show.
The Royal Cavalry’s Traditional Horse Sports & Equestrian Skills sections took part in the show on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Queen Victoria.
Upon arrival of the queen in the display arena, Royal Cavalry’s music played British Royal Anthem. This is the first time that a foreign music band played British Royal Anthem which shows the strong relationship and the long historical ties between Oman and UK.
Windsor Royal Hose Show ran for 90 minutes and covered events and memories from the Victorian era. 500 musicians, riders and artists took part in the shows in addition to 400 horses and 30 coaches that portrayed 19th century Great Britain during Queen Victoria reign.
