Musician and academic Mykaell Riley finds himself in Interview City, ready to tell it as it is. One of the original members of Steel Pulse and a successful writer, producer and performer for over 25 years, he’s currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of Westminster and Director of the Bass Culture Research Unit. Mykaell talks about his Black British experience and a musical culture that continues to be seriously underappreciated and marginalized. Asking for answers: Paul Morley.
Direct from Interview City, author and cultural commentator Paul Morley asks the questions and listens with intent. A whole host of favourite musicians, comedians, entertainers, and just generally interesting, well informed people with plenty to say, get a chance to answer.
